Removing UCHC Proxy Settings
Select the option
below that corresponds to your browser software and follow the instructions.

Remove
UCHC Proxy Settings in Netscape 4.x and Above
- Start Netscape.
- Go to Edit
-> Preferences -> Advanced -> Proxies.
- Clear Configuration
Location [URL].
- Select Direct
Connection to the Internet.
- Click OK.
- The old proxy
server authentication is now disabled.
Remove
UCHC Proxy Settings in Netscape 3.x
- Start Netscape.
- Go to Options
-> Networking -> Proxies.
- Clear Configuration
Location [URL].
- Select No
Proxies.
- Click OK.
- The old proxy
server authentication is now disabled.
Remove
UCHC Proxy Settings on Internet Explorer 5.x and Above
- Start Internet
Explorer.
- Go to Tools
-> Internet Options-> Connections
- In the box labeled
"Dial-up settings", hight your Internet Service Provider connection
. Double-click on the "Settings" button to the right of the screen.
- Clear the URL (http://homealone.uchc.edu/proxy.pac)
under Address.
- Uncheck Use
automatic configuration script.
- Click OK. Now the
old proxy service is disabled.
Remove
UCHC Proxy Settings in Internet Explorer 4.x
Remove UCHC
Proxy Settings in Internet Explorer 5.x and Above (Cable Modem)
- Start Internet
Explorer.
- Go to Tools
-> Internet Options-> Connections-> Lan settings.
- Clear the URL (http://homealone.uchc.edu/proxy.pac)
under Address.
- Uncheck Use
automatic configuration script.
- Uncheck Use
a proxy server for your LAN.
