Classes on Demand
by Robert M. Joven, MLS
Information and Education Services Dept.
The Information and Education Services Department is offering Classes
on Demand during the Fall Semester. These hands-on workshops may cover
online catalogs, bibliographic databases, traditional and electronic information
sources, locating clinical evidence, critical evaluation of resources,
search strategies and information synthesis, and bibliographic management
software. Sessions can be tailored to a course or the research interests
of a specific group. The location is flexible: reference classes are normally
conducted in the Library's Computer Education Center, but if there is
a need, a reference librarian can provide an on-site session.
Library classes are available to UCHC affiliates only. To arrange for
an individual or group session or to ask us to develop specific instruction
for your affiliated students, colleagues or work group, call (860) 679-4051
or email a message to our work office at firstname.lastname@example.org You may also
send a fax to (860) 679-1068, or use our electronic registration form
