Let us do it for you! Library services for users on the go.

Browsing the UCHC Library catalogue? Find a book or AV you’d like to borrow? Too busy to search the stacks? Let us do it for you! The Circulation Department (860-679-2839) is now providing a pull and hold service for books and AVs located in the UCHC Library collection. Check out our “Recent Acquisitions” list from the Library homepage , or search our online catalogue , find the book or AV that you need, call or email your request to the Circulation desk or fill out an electronic request form , indicate your preferred pick up time and we’ll have your book or AV waiting for you. In the near future, requesting a book will become even easier when we activate the “Call Slip” function from the online catalogue.

Have you searched the online catalogue and failed to find the book, journal or AV you need? Interlibrary Loan (x2940) can efficiently locate and borrow material from other libraries for UCHC faculty, staff and students. Photocopies can usually be delivered to your desktop in approximately 3-4 working days. Books sent USPS would take longer. Go to the Interlibrary Loan homepage for electronic request forms and complete information about this service.

All journals are online! Unfortunately, this statement isn’t true, especially for older volumes. However, the library provides a “Pull & Copy” service for patrons. Library staff will photocopy articles from our extensive journal collection quickly and efficiently on a prepaid basis. You may request overnight service with photocopies available the next day Monday-Friday, or same-day “RUSH” service if the request is received by 2pm, Monday through Friday. Desktop delivery may be available. General information, request forms and pricing information are available at the Circulation Desk or online at http://library.uchc.edu/departm/circ/uchcphot.html. PubMed searchers may want to activate the Loansome Doc feature to order documents found while searching Medline. For information on using the UCHC Library as your designated Loansome Doc Library contact the Interlibrary Loan Department.
