The Hartford Medical Society supports the continuing education of
physicians in greater Hartford by (1) encouraging meetings and
communications among the health care/educational institutions and
medical disciplines in the area, (2) encouraging the study of the
history of medicine and (3) supporting careers in medicine and the
health sciences through liaisons with schools and colleges in the
region.
The Hartford Medical Society strives to enhance the value of its
medical library to the professional and lay community by
computerization of its collection. We have an
administrative/professional relationship with the University of
Connecticut Health Center Library to plan for the future of the
collection.
The Hartford Medical Society fosters the use of its facilities for
speaker programs emphasizing broad subject areas of interest to
physicians and guests with the dual goals of education and pleasant
social interaction.
The Hartford Medical Society maintains is commitment to the growth and
improvement of the Menczer Museum of Medicine and Dentistry, in
cooperation with the Hartford Dental Society.
