WISQARS (Web-based Injury Statistics Query and Reporting System) provides data of fatal (U.S. injury mortality) and non-fatal injury-related information (national estimates of nonfatal injuries treated in U.S. hospital emergency departments).

 

Question 1:
Do boys suffer more from dog bite than girls do in 2001?

 
 

1. At http://www.cdc.gov/ncipc/wisqars/, select “non-fatal injury reports”
2. Select Report Options by Intention, Causes, and Sort by “sex”
3. Click “Submit Request”

 
   
     
 

Question 2: In 2001, what is the total number of females who suffered from self-inflicted nonfatal injuries through poisoning? Is the rate higher than that for males?
