PDA Assistance

Library Staff
CEC staff is available to assist with PDA installations and syncing. You may contact CEC staff to setup a time to come by for help. Library staff is available to cover the basics of using some of the recommended PDA programs.

PDA Clinics
CEC staff will hold PDA clinics every so often during which students may stop by to receive help in installing the recommended programs. This sessions are generally around the time that the PDA recommendations come out to help students get their PDAs ready to use in class and in clinical rotations.

Pocket PC Tutorials
The library provides Pocket PC PDA Tutorials which cover the basics of using a Pocket PC. Some examples include Setting up a partnership in ActiveSync, Locating programs on your Pocket PC, and How to remove programs off of your Pocket PC. The tutorials can be accessed by clicking on the link above or on the Pocket PC Tutorials link on the left. The library provides Pocket PC PDA Tutorials which cover the basics of using a Pocket PC. Some examples include Setting up a partnership in ActiveSync, Locating programs on your Pocket PC, and How to remove programs off of your Pocket PC. These tutorials are too large to view on your PDA screen please revisit this page using a computer monitor.

Help Sheets The library provides PDA syncing stations so that individuals may come in and sync and install applications to their PDAs. There are binders with help sheets provided at these syncing stations which detail the steps required to install the recommended programs onto your PDA. The library also provides these same help sheets on the CEC webpages, the library webpages, and blackboard for viewing at home. These help sheets generally walk you through step-by-step on how to install the recommended applications. If you need further assistance please don't hesitate to contact CEC staff.
