Mission Statement
The mission of the Lyman Maynard Stowe Library is to identify, investigate, define and meet the informational
needs of the educational, research, clinical and service programs of the University of Connecticut Health
Center. As the only publicly supported academic health center in the state and as part of the University
of Connecticut, the Library recognizes its obligation to serve as a biomedical information resource for
the State of Connecticut.
The Library places a high priority on the utilization of new technologies when these may be used to
enhance traditional methods and to develop new procedures of information services and delivery.
