Instructions for Configuring Proxy Service on Netscape 4.x

• Connect to the internet via your Internet Service Provider (ISP). (For example, America Online, SNET, etc).
• Start up Netscape
• Go to Edit -> Preferences -> Advanced -> Proxies. Select Automatic proxy configuration. Under Configuration location (URL):, type in http://homealone.uchc.edu/proxy.pac . Then hit the OK button.

Instructions for Disabling Proxy Service on Netscape 4.x

Start up Netscape. Go to Edit -> Preferences -> Advanced -> Proxies. Select Direct Connection to the Internet. Then hit OK button. The proxy server authentication is now disabled.

Start up Netscape. Go to Options -> Networking -> Proxies.. Select Direct Connection to the Internet. Then hit OK button. The proxy server authentication is now disabled.
